About us
Astratech s.r.o. is a mechanical design office in Chomutov, Czech Republic, founded in December 2018. We design parts, products and special-purpose machines for manufacturers in the Czech Republic and abroad, manage engineering projects, build mobile and web apps and have installed smart buildings since 2024, as a Loxone Silver Partner since 2025. We work in your CAD, in English and Czech, and in German in writing.
Founder
Ladislav Janovec, MSc.
founder and managing director
Design engineer and manager with more than 15 years in R&D and production at international industrial groups. He started in industrial equipment design (LAC); at Honeywell he led the mechanical design of the first global platform of a new thermostat range and is co-inventor of 6 granted US patents. At Donaldson he managed capital projects in European plants, and at the Jakob Müller group he led design and production. Six Sigma Green Belt (DFSS).
Team
The founder works with a team of design engineers, from juniors to experienced seniors; in 2025 we added four people. We work in five CAD systems and bring in trusted specialists where a project needs them, for example for calculations that must be signed and stamped by a certified engineer.

- 2014–2017Founder in Honeywell R&D
The first global Lyric T6 thermostat platform and the UWP mounting system, 6 granted US patents.
- 2018Astratech s.r.o. founded
Astratech founded as an independent design office in Chomutov.
- Water filtration against the spread of disease
The CleanSpray FX single-use faucet filter (P/N 1690), an FDA-listed medical device, protects against waterborne pathogens such as Legionella and Pseudomonas.
- 2024First smart home
Complete integration of lighting, heating and security controlled from a mobile app, with comfort and energy savings for the residents.
- 2024External PV and brownfield projects
Technical consulting, control of heating, ventilation and pool technology, e-mobility, building automation, data networks and access control.
- 2025Loxone partner
With Loxone and Home Assistant our clients get full control of lighting, heating and security in homes and commercial buildings.
- 2025Design team expanded
We added four more engineers to the design team.
- 2026Our own app, Deadline Guardian
An iOS, Android and web app that keeps track of inspections, servicing and warranties, launched in June 2026 in four languages. We build service apps for machines on the same foundation.
