The infrared lamp is used for the automatic shrinking of tubes to connect the heddle and the cord in the harness of a weaving machine. The lamp is positioned on linear guides in two axes, allowing it to be precisely set to the desired working position.
Once the lamp is set in the working position and started by the operator, the lamp performs a series of temperature pulses. These pulses shrink the tubes, securing the joint against loosening. An entire row is always shrunk, which consists of 36–42 tubes.
After shrinking, the operator moves the lamp to the rear position and starts the cooling process. Once cooling is completed, the operator continues with the next row. Using the infrared lamp for this type of joint prevents thermal influence on materials, ensuring higher overall product quality.
